A Birthday Party Magic Show with a Harry Potter Wizard Theme
In this magic show Abby London, a fictional cousin of the Weasleys, performs magic and puppetry loosely based on the world of Harry Potter. Fictionally, Abby attended Beauxbatons Academy (a wizarding school similar to Hogwarts). There is legilimancy (mind reading), a magically appearing sword, and a magic picture which makes a lost item re-appear. A gnome from Abby's garden (really a Mr. potato head) drinks polyjuice potion and turns into a monkey. The children are encouraged to participate as wizards and witches, giving their wands a swish and flick to make the magic happen.
Abby has read all seven Harry Potter books, and keeps the magic in the show consistent with Harry's wizarding world without revealing the plot lines to those who have yet to finish reading the books. You don't have to be a Harry Potter fan to enjoy the show. It is designed to be awe-inspiring and comical even to those who have never read about Harry Potter. And if your child likes the Harry Potter stories, he or she will especially enjoy recognizing wizard culture in the show.
