Holiday Party Activities for Kids and Families

Abby offers a variety of activities for your holiday party. Choose from a Christmas Variety Show, a Chanukah Variety Show, or a photo shoot with the puppets. The material is written especially for families with children.

The Christmas Show

This wholesome, funny show inspires amazement, belly laughs and wonder. Expect lots of lively audience participation. Winter characters (snowman, gingerbread man, reindeer, ornaments and a sleigh bell) are featured as part of the magic. As in past years, you'll see Abby's Crazy Holiday Turkey, Jake Giblets, who only performs around the holidays, and Snowy, the yeti puppet. Even Santa Claus appears on a silk or by telephone (unless the customer requests otherwise).

You may specify whether to mention symbols

Ask for a show that is "symbol rich," with a passing mention of requested symbols and words associated with religions (dreidel, Santa, angels, Christmas, Hanukah, and/or Kwanzaa). Or request a show with language and props that are "symbol free," avoiding the aforementioned words in favor of "happy holidays." If this issue is important to you, please specify which version you prefer before Abby packs for your party -- at least 3 days in advance.

The Chanukah Show

This funny, non-religious variety show includes wholesome puppetry, magic, klezmer music, Chanukah props, and winter themes. The audience makes candles magically appear and puts them in a menorah. Holiday characters such as a snowman, a gingerbread man, and a reindeer are portrayed during magic tricks. Dreidels and Chanukah colors magically appear. Abby's crazy Holiday Turkey, Jakey, pulls stunts with a sleigh bell. Snowy, the yeti puppet, magically levitates a snowball. This show gets lots of "wows" and belly laughs.

More Than Just a Magic Show

Abby can bring you more than just a magic show. For smaller crowds, Abby crafts a deluxe balloon sculpture for each child. She can theme the balloons around the holiday, making reindeer hats and snowmen.
