Pirate Magician

The Pirate Show

Ahoy Mayties! Announcing Cap'n Abby's Pirate Magic Show. There be a pirate monkey, a performin' parrot (both puppets a'course), and magic with snakes and spiders. A sword and other items magically appear. There be magic tricks with pirate treasure, a 3-card monte designed for children, and other pirate props. The birthday child can do magic too if he or she likes, magically producing a birthday gift or using psychic powers to find a clue to hidden treasure. (No preparation on the child's part is needed).

As a mom wrote about the pirate party that Abby did for her son's birthday: "You kept fourteen 4 year olds sitting still for almost an hour. Amazing! Several kids kept referring to Huggie (monkey) for hours afterward."

So much more'n a pirate costume character, it's a variety show with a smatterin' o' real Caribbean pirate history, which adds extra spice that'll shiver yer timbers. You can hear wows and belly laughs from Abby's audience by clicking play (if your speakers are on and if you see a sound player here). To see a video from one of Abby's pirate parties, click here.

Round out yer pirate party with balloon sculptures, so that each child has a party favor to bring home, including pirate swords and parrots.

AN APOLOGY

Arrrrgh! Sorry me hearties, dangerous tricks are avoided. You'll see no fire, no knives, no arm choppers, no fake blood or gore. The only sword in the show is a dulled-for-safety one that appears from nowhere and is promptly put away. (Me apologies fer the lack o' gore).

A WARNIN'

Ye be warned! The pirate show aint fer the squeamish! The puppets may pull pranks on Cap'n Abby with artificial boogers. Huggie monkey may do his stinky monkey routine. There may be talk of eatin' worms, squid, spiders, snails, fish eggs, and frog legs.
