Balloon Sculpture Calculators

If you are considering having balloon sculptures at your event, you'll need to decide how fancy the sculptures will be. This tells you how much time to allot and how many children to invite so nobody goes away empty-handed. The pale yellow calculators are for fancy balloon designs. The pink calculators are for simple designs. The calculations on this page are based on Abby's personal balloon twisting speed. The calculations may or may not apply to other balloon twisters.

For Fancy Sculptures

If you want deluxe, multi-balloon, multi-color sculptures such as monkeys, helicopters, and crazy hats use the yellow calculator:

Calculate how much time to allot for fancy designs

How many sculptures per child?
How many children age 0 to 16* will be at the party?

This takes about minutes, or hours in addition to the show. If that's too much then order simple, fast designs instead and use the pink calculators below.
Calculate how many children can get fancy designs

How many minutes do you have for balloon sculpting?
How many sculptures would you like per child?

About children can get complex sculptures. For more children either book Abby for more time or order simple sculptures (see the pink calculators below).

For Simple Sculptures

For simpler sculptures such as swords and dogs use these calculators. These faster designs have fewer colors, fewer balloons and a smaller size.

Calculate how much time to allot for simple designs

How many sculptures per child?
How many children age 0 to 16* will be there?

This takes about minutes, or hours in addition to the show.
Calculate how many children to invite for simple designs

How many minutes do you have for balloon sculpting?
How many sculptures would you like per child?

About children can be accommodated if we keep the sculptures simple. If you expect more children to attend, then you'll need to book Abby for more time.

* At a typical party some or all of the teens and tweens will request a sculpture. They should be included in the balloon head count. Infants and toddlers count too, as the chaperone gets a balloon to hold, while the baby gets a plastic toy, a so-called "unpoppable" balloon that is safe for them to hold. After all, no parent or grandparent wants their little pride and joy left out.

Too many guests to get through the line in the time allotted?

Not to worry. You may also order balloon sculptures pre-made. With these there is no waiting in line. Just pop the balloon that joins them, and give them out. The cheese with mice disassembles into 20 flying mice, which kids can shoot into the air. The wreath of balloon corsages disassembles into 20 wrist corsages to wear. Sign up for them under balloon decor on the extras order form. To go to the order form, click here.
